The 5th Treaty of Le Havre was a binding treaty between Spain and France that ended the various ailed wars with Spain's Carlists. The results of the treaty were considered to be one of the increasing factors of tension that brought the world closer to the brink of destruction in 1939.
It was singed on April 15, 1917 by France, Belgian, Italy, Portugal, Siam, Canada, USA, Brazil, Mexico and Britain. Spain sign the treaty, since the USA had threatened to invade them on mass if the did not (actually the USA was only bluffing and was to busy in Armenia to do anything much in Spain).
- Spain was to agree to all the terms of the 1st, 2nd and 3rd Treaties of Le Havre.
- America and Canada jointly occupied Bilbao for 10 years.
- Valvadod was to be occupied by Britain and France Jointly for 10 years.
The Spanish Carlists were finally to be outlawed for ever. Sadly the ban failed since they mostly went underground with only a few gong in to exile around the Spanish and Portuguese speaking nation of the world.
